(Sparks, NV) Thompson Garage Doors is currently constructing a new warehouse and doing a major remodel and expansion of its current showroom in Sparks. The project, which broke ground on December 4, 2019, was undertaken to consolidate the Rock Boulevard showroom with their current location at 171 South 18th Street in Sparks. The new warehouse will be 16,200 square feet with a 3,500 sq. ft mezzanine, and the showroom will be updated and expanded to showcase the inventory of interior and front doors currently housed in the Rock Boulevard location.

We are very excited about this project because it will allow us to have everything in one location,” says owner Kenneth Reyman. “By consolidating the Rock Boulevard showroom here, we are able to eliminate the inconvenience of two locations, which will allow us to serve our customers better.”

The new warehouse will include a millwork shop, a welding and fabrication shop and an expanded inventory storage area. According to Reyman, the millwork shop will provide an area for finishing, staining, custom sizing, side lights and more. The welding and fabrication shop will provide commercial service and repairs including custom parts manufacturing to accommodate any commercial repair order. The inventory storage warehouse will allow Thompson Garage Doors to double its existing inventory. “Expanding our inventory in-house will drastically cut down on customer wait time,” says Reyman.

The newly remodeled showroom will highlight interior and front door samples as well as state-of-the-art garage doors. Ten new offices will be added to give the showroom more room for product displays.  Thompson Garage Doors is a locally owned and operated family business which began in the Truckee Meadows in 1957. The project is projected to be finished by July 1, 2020.
