Thompson Garage Doors was awarded “1st Place Float” at the City of Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade sponsored by Intuit. “Characters of Christmas Past” was the theme for the 24th annual event, held last month.
Thompson’s float featured Frosty the Snowman, pulled by a 1914 Cadillac 7-passenger touring car, followed by a 1929 Cadillac, and a 1920 Pierce Arrow model 48. Frosty, with his hat, corn cob pipe, button nose, & 2 eyes made out of coal; was joined on the corner of the Thompson float by a traffic cop and a group of children.
Since the parade, Frosty has taken up residence in the Thompson showroom, on S. 18th St. in Sparks. If you missed seeing him in the parade, come by 171 S. 18th Street, Sparks, NV and see Frosty before he melts away!
